Learning that makes a difference

At Julie Haywood Community Ventures, we believe great learning should do more than deliver information.

It should inspire confidence, develop practical skills and make a positive difference in the real world.

We provide teaching and training for adult learners, further education students and professionals working across health and social care, combining professional knowledge with practical experience and a genuine passion for helping people learn and develop.

Whether it’s taking the first steps into health and social care, developing professional knowledge or looking to strengthen the skills of a team, our teaching is designed to be accessible, engaging, relevant and rooted in real-life practice.

Adult Learning & Further Education

Supporting adult learners to learn, grow and achieve.

Continuing or returning to education or developing new skills can be a significant step.

Our teaching sessions aim to make that journey feel accessible, supportive and achievable.

We work with adult learners to build knowledge, confidence and practical understanding, recognising that everyone arrives with different experiences, abilities and aspirations.

We believe every learner brings something valuable to the classroom.

Professional Learning & Development

Supporting professionals who support others.

Health and social care is constantly changing.

Professionals need opportunities to refresh their knowledge, develop new skills, reflect on practice and keep learning throughout their careers.

We bring together professional knowledge, experience and current thinking to create learning that is relevant, engaging and meaningful.

Delivery of Course Sessions & Educational Programmes

Structured learning opportunities for adult learners and further education students, designed to develop knowledge, understanding and practical skills.

Workshops & Short Courses

Focused learning sessions for professionals exploring specific topics, skills or areas of professional practice.

Real-world learning

Our approach draws on extensive professional experience within health and social care, helping learners connect theory with the situations, challenges and decisions in practice.

This helps us bring subjects to life through real-world examples, discussion, reflection and practical application.

Warm, practical and inclusive

Julie is passionate about helping people develop the knowledge, confidence and skills they need to make a positive difference — whether they are beginning their career, returning to learning or already working as an experienced professional.

Her approach is warm, practical and inclusive, creating learning environments where people feel comfortable asking questions, sharing experiences and developing their confidence.

Learning Rooted in Real Experience

Knowledge matters. Experience brings it to life.

Learning and development in health and social care should reflect the realities of people's lives.

Led by Julie Haywood, who has more than 30 years of professional experience in health and social care, our learning is informed by practical experience as well as professional knowledge.
